Year 8 - Maths & Science

Course Overview

The Year 8 Mathematics & Science program strengthens foundational skills and introduces more challenging concepts. In mathematics, students develop skills in algebra, geometry, trigonometry and data analysis. In science, they build on their understanding of the physical and chemical world, learning how to design and conduct experiments. They learn about forces, energy, and motion, and begin to understand how these concepts explain everyday phenomena.

Our Teaching Approach

All classes from Year 7 to Year 10 are taught by Sid, providing consistent guidance and a clear understanding of each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. Lessons are interactive, encouraging students to participate, ask questions, and develop confidence in their learning. Our program follows the school curriculum closely while building skills for future exams, with regular revision to consolidate knowledge. Sid focuses on showing students how to think through problems step-by-step, helping them build strong foundations, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude towards learning.
